Itinerary

Arrive in Entebbe following the flight from your country of origin. Land at Entebbe international airport the main gate way to the pearl of Africa where you will find a company representative dedicated to offer you a courteous welcome to the pearl of Africa. After a short briefing about your 15 days Uganda safari, you will connect to the hotel in Entebbe for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

After early morning breakfast connect with the guide for 317km or 5-6hours drive to sipi falls through sezibwa, Lugazi sugarcane plantation, Mabira forest with stopover in jinja, large historic town of Uganda famous for the source of the Nile, where the world’s longest river exits Africa’s largest lake a start an epic journey of 6650km in to the Mediterranean sea. Visit source of the Nile after which we settle for lunch before continuing with the journey to sipi for dinner and overnight.

You will have breakfast and thereafter proceed out to explore the Sipi falls. The hiking (about 2½ – 3 hours) takes you to explore the nearby Sipi falls which is a set of 3 falls. The views are breathtaking and make for a great excursion while in Sipi after which we have lunch.

Later on in the, connect with the driver and embark on 255km distance via Mbale-Soroti road connecting to pian upe, The second largest conservation area in Uganda boosting a healthy population of cheetahs up to 70%, the only home for the remaining population of roan antelopes, Buffaloes, zebras and other antelope rare species like lesser kudu, common eland, Gunthers dik-dik, Bohor reedbucks oribis and impala  as well  as cats like wild cats, spotted hyena, civets, serval cats, leopards and lion seen periodically.

Have your breakfast early in the morning link up with the driver connect to the rolling savanna plains of pian upe for 2-3hours game drive boosting  high chances of sighting roan antelopes, cheetahs, zebras, kudu, dikidik, eland ,heart beasts ,buffaloes, black backed and side stripped jackal after which we return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.

Later on transfer to moroto for karimojong cultural experience as we visit their cultural village where we shall participate in traditional cultural dance and games like wrestling, cooking food, learning how to shoot bow and arrow .retreat from the activity before nightfall and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Have late morning breakfast ,connect with the guide for 242km/4-5 hours transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park referred to as the true African wilderness is most isolated park located northeastern corner of the country harboring many extinct species that can’t be found anywhere in Uganda boosting 80 mammal species and 470 species of birds. Settle for lunch in Kotido town after which we proceed with the journey to the park through Nataba gate with enroute sighting of abundant wildlife as we connect to Apoka for lodge check in, dinner and overnight.

After early morning game drive you will proceed for game viewing in the Narus Valley in the south sector of Kidepo valley national park. Narus is the sector of park that has savannah grasslands mixed with acacia woodland with permanent water sources throughout the year attracting and boosting huge congregation of mammals like large herds of Buffaloes and elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes like common eland, grant gazelle, beisa Oryx, Jackson heart beast, impala, oribis, reed bucks, kudus alongside predators on the hunt like lions, leopards, black and side stripped jackal, side stripped hyena, cheetahs, caracal and many more. Retreat from the activity connect to the lodge and settle for lunch.

Later on connect with the guide and set off for evening game drive north of the park to the hot spring (kanataruk) along the border line with south Sudan, we shall sight ostriches, kidepo sand bed river and semi arid species like lesser kudu, beisa Oryx, elephants, eland, buffaloes along the game drive to the hot spring. Retreat from the activity and return to the lodge on reverse journey and connect to Apoka.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest National Park Famous for mighty powerful falls, rolling savannah plains of buligi boosting sighting of lions, leopard, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely, the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles at the Nile River will fascinate you. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts about 450 bird species including the grey parrot, dwarf king fisher and the Goliath heron among others. Arrive in time for lunch in Gulu town after which we continue with the journey to the park for dinner and over night.

Have your breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park and be on the look for wildlife including: lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to sight too during the drive. Return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will head out for the boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls where you will also be able to catch sight of more animals including Hippos and Crocodiles and several water birds. #Optional (extra cost): If interested, continue with a hike to the top of the falls. The hike may be a strenuous one but the thrill on reaching the top is unforgettable. Return to your accommodation and relax.

Today, you will have breakfast and then, depart right away for Kibale Forest National Park – popular for its primates like the chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkey, Uganda mangabey (Lophocebus ugandae). The drive is quite long but incredibly scenic – passing through villages, lush green countryside and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda with stopover for lunch in the oil city, Hoima town. The beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way. Upon arrival at the accommodation, check in and just relax.

Have breakfast and head to the rangers’ post where you will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimp trekking. Thereafter, you will proceed to trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest. An experienced ranger-guide will take you chimp tracking (Kibale Forest) and you will be left amazed by the presence of primates here. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour in their presence. You will return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter you will head out for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Otherwise, just check in and relax at the lodge.

Be up early and have your breakfast. Precede for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains and be on the look for Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus lions, leopards (though hard to spot) among others. Return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. You will have dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and then travel to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Should you get to spot them, the sight is picturesque and memorable. From Ishasha, you will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Later on in the evening embark on community tour and visit the last remaining members of the endangered Batwa pygmy tribe living harmoniously with great giants of the forest in Bwindi. While at their community, we shall learn traditional forest practices of the hunter gatherer culture listen to their stories and attend their cultural dance performances before heading back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

After early morning breakfast at 7:00am, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi (place of many little birds) Africa’s second deepest lake traversing through the kigezi highlands referred to as the Switzerland of Africa with stunning surroundings offering impressive spectacular views of the 29 islands. Under take activities like sightseeing and community walks, bird watching. Have lunch at the resort and embark on canoe/ boat cruise on the lake to visit and interact with one of the 29 island communities like Punishment Island Akampande home to unmarried pregnant girls. Return to the lodge for relaxation dinner and over night.

With the aid of sweet melodies of birds that will be singing, we wake up at 6:00 and have early morning breakfast and embark on 467km or 8-9hours journey through impressive country side landscape of southwestern Uganda making stopover for traditional lunch at Igongo cultural centre for typical African buffet followed by another stopover at equator point in kayabwe For equator water experiment experience and photo moment after which we proceed to Entebbe for dinner and overnight
