AVELISA TERMS & CONDITIONS – BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and apply to all of our services.

By accessing, browsing, using and/or completing a reservation through our (mobile) website you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to be legally bound to the terms and conditions set out below. No contract between the customer and Avelisa Tours & Travels  shall come into existence until Avelisa Tours & Travels receives full payment and issues a confirmation invoice. The customer making the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of their travel party and is responsible for the entirety of the payment.

Avelisa Tours & Travels is a tour operator, offering a wide range of adventure tours .

Bookings can be made directly through Avelisa Tours & Travels, its sub-brands and/or any other website through which Avelisa Tours & Travels makes their services available. Avelisa Tours & Travels reserves the right to alter itineraries and/or timetables should it be necessary, due to adverse weather and or other related conditions.  Avelisa Tours & Travels is not responsible for expenses and/or other related costs due to factors outside of its control, such as flight delays, changes and or cancellations, injuries, weather, war, natural disasters etc. and/or other unforeseeable matters. You are responsible for providing Avelisa Tours & Travels with the correct contact information and related details so that we can keep you informed in the event of changes made to the services booked.

Visa,Passport,and Travel Documentation

It is of responsibility to ensure that you have valid passports (taking into account the local requirements of the country you will be traveling to), visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities in the country/countries where the trip takes place.

If your travel documents do not meet the requirements, Avelisa Tours & Travels shall not be liable to you for any cost, loss or damage which you suffer, nor will Avelisa Tours & Travels refund you the cost of any unused portion of your trip or any other travel arrangements.

TRAVELER RESPONSIBILITIES

The Traveler acknowledges that it is solely his/her responsibility to ensure that he/she is in possession of the necessary travel documents that may be required in respect of the proposed tour and itinerary as well as all health and other certificates that may be required.

CANCELLATION POLICY & REFUND

All cancellation fees held by Avelisa Tours & Travels are only intended to cover our direct cost of amending and/or canceling your reservation. By accessing, browsing, using and/or completing a reservation through our (mobile) website you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to be legally bound to the cancellation policy as set out below. No contract between the customer and Avelisa Tours & Travels shall come into existence until Avelisa Tours & Travels receives full payment and issues a confirmation invoice. The customer making the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of their travel party and is responsible for payment due from the party in entirety.

All communications relating to these terms and conditions (in particular any requests to cancel or amend your tour arrangements) must be from the lead traveler of each reservation . All cancellations must be delivered in writing via the customer contact form and sent by the lead traveler. Once delivered the amendment and/or cancellation needs to be confirmed by Avelisa Tours & Travels before further action can be taken. If reimbursement is in order, then it shall be made in accordance with all procedures and processed as quickly as possible, and the stipulated amount will be transferred to the same account number/credit card that was used upon booking. Please note that we can not be responsible for delays of the delivery of the reimbursement to your account once it has been processed on our end. For tours purchased through another vendor please reach out to the vendor directly with your refund and/or cancellation request. The cancellation policy applies to the original booking departure date the tour has been booked for.

REFUND RATES

The amount of the cancellation fee is calculated according to the date on which Avelisa Tours & Travels receives written cancellation notice and the following cancellation charges apply to the basic program rate below;

60 days or more prior to arrival10% charge
59 – 32 days prior to arrival25% charge
31 – 8 days prior to arrival50% charge
7 – 3 days prior to arrival75% charge
48 hours or less prior to arrival100% charge

NOTE;

1.Gorilla permits and internal air tickets are 100% non-refundable.
2.No refunds will be made for clients in case they halt the trip when the trip has already started.
3.No refunds will be made for any unused services, late arrival, or no-show of any of the members of the tour.

Also If one or more clients of a larger private group cancel a trip, they will be charged their part of the shared costs for that group trip, so that the rest of the group will not face any price increase. This amount is in addition to the general cancellation fees (as listed above)

Complaints

Avelisa Tours & Travels shall try to ensure that Avelisa Tours & Travels exceeds the expectations in every area of the tour arrangements. However, suggestions are very much appreciated in order to keep improving the quality of the service.

Complaints must be reported immediately to Avelisa Tours & Travels representative and to the supplier of the service in question, who will do their best to resolve the matter. If the problem is not solved to the client’s satisfaction, the complaint should be reported in writing and not later than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Liability for any complaints not notified in accordance with the above-described procedure cannot be accepted.

Liability, Emergency Policy, and Insurance Travel Documentation (listed again)

  • Avelisa Tours & Travels will make every effort to ensure that all arrangements and services offered as part of the safari are carried out as specified in the most efficient way possible. However, the Avelisa Tours & Travels does not have direct control of the provision of services by suppliers and, whilst every supplier is chosen with the utmost care, Avelisa Tours & Travels does not accept liability for errors or omissions of such suppliers.
  • Avelisa Tours & Travels shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature whatsoever whether to person or property.
    Whilst every care is taken, Avelisa Tours & Travels cannot be held responsible for the direct or indirect costs of loss or damage to baggage or personal possessions.
  • Avelisa Tours & Travels cannot accept liability or pay compensation for unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the Avelisa Tours & Travels or its staff, including flight delays/cancellations or force majeure such as war or threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist acts, border closure, acts of government or other authorities, strikes, thefts, epidemics, road closures, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, extreme weather conditions, fire, technical and/or mechanical problems to transport and all similar events beyond the Avelisa Tours & Travels control.It is the responsibility of the client (s) to ensure that they have the appropriate passports, visas, travel permits, health certificates, and other documentation required for the safari.
  • It is the responsibility of the clients to take proper medical and practical precautions in regard to health and safety. Medical advice should be sought well before traveling and follow the health requirements for your destination.
  • Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance before coming to Africa. Valid travel insurance that covers your needs. We strongly advise you to insure yourself against any possible risk, including but not limited to: personal accident, death, medical expenses, and emergency medical assistance, or emergency repatriation. We also recommend it covers cancellation and loss of luggage or personal effects. Local evacuation coverage is available in the unlikely event of a medical emergency while on safari with Avelisa Tours & Travels.
  • The respective laws of the country govern Avelisa Tours & Travels’ liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the cause of action arises.
