Day 1

transfer to Ngamba island, enjoy a boat cruise to the island and view chimps as they are fed

After breakfast at around 7am at your place of stay in Kampala or Entebbe, we connect to the shores of Lake Victoria and catch up with a boat that departs at 8am to Ngamba Island.
It is a beautiful and magical cruise on the world’s largest tropical fresh water lake with soothing winds. On arrival, transfer to the visitors centre where you will receive an orientation from a chimp caregiver who will introduce you to the project, its history, the chimps and their plight. At around 11am, move to the visitors raised platform area along the edge of the sanctuary fence and have a view of feeding of the chimps.
Chimps come out from the forest at designated feeding times. They are accustomed to the feeding times and will come close to the fence for supplementary feeding, should the caregivers delay to bring to bring vegetables and fruits, you will hear noises from them reminding care givers of the feeding time, watch them as they struggle to get as many fruits as they can with the powerful taking the bigger share and the weak surviving on their tactics of jumping and diving for the fruits thrown at them. Retire for relaxation in the evening; undertake a nature walk on the island. Return for relaxation, diner and overnight.

Day 2

After having a relaxed delicious breakfast around 8am engage in and participate in the caring of the chimps subject to satisfactory medical tests.
Tram up with the sanctuary stuff and explore their day to day life of making sure that these apes survive. Retreat from the activity and embark on a boat ride back to the mainland where you will find the dr guide to transfer you back to your place of stay
