Experience all the highlights in just one trip! You will visit the most beautiful national parks of the country. From Kampala the capital city of Uganda to Murchison falls national park the largest national park in Uganda measuring approx 38932km. it has the strongest falls in the whole world. It is a home to 76 mammal species as well as Uganda’s largest population of Nile crocodiles and over 440 bird species including the rare shoe bill, dwarf kingfisher, goliath heron, white thighed hornbill and the great blue Turaco. This safari offers an incredible face to face encounter with the gentle mountain gorillas on foot in Bwindi impenetrable national park where almost half of the world’s population of gorillas is found. Tracking them is definitely an amazing experience for African safari lovers. We will also track chimpanzees in Kibale national park a natural habitat that has one of the highest densities and diversities of primates in Africa. We will visit Murchison falls for a game drive in its classic savannah plains. We will enjoy a stunning boat cruise along the world’s longest river to the bottom of the powerful Murchison falls and hike to the top of the falls. We will also visit Queen Elizabeth national park one of the highest biodiversity rating of any national park in the world, it hosts over 600 bird species and 96 mammal species. We will enjoy a wildlife game drive in search for tree climbing lions and savannah lions, leopards, buffaloes among others. We will also undertake a boat cruise on the 40km long Kazinga channel to view one of the highest populations of hippos in the world. We will also visit Lake Bunyonyi the little Switzerland of Africa and Lake Mburo national park for a walking game safari in search for wildlife and enjoy a launch cruise on Lake Mburo.

Day 1


You will be welcomed by a representative of Avelisa Tours and Travel who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on the time of arrival, our guide will take you on a city tour for an exciting introduction within the capital. Visit some interesting and historical sites, including the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the Uganda Museum and of course the African Craft Village. We also advise you to have money changed today.

Day 2

Kampala to Murchison falls national park

On the first day we will depart for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park the largest park in Uganda. Have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary Uganda’s proud home to the wild white rhinos for the unforgettable rhino tracking encounter. Continue with the drive having lunch en-route. Arriving at the park for check in, relaxation and dinner.

Day 3

Game drive, launch cruise and hike on top of the falls

After an early morning breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile escorted by the ranger; expect to see elephants, Rothschild giraffe, Jackson hartebeest, lions, oribis and variety of savannah woodland birds.
After lunch you will go for a launch cruise for game viewing at close quarters, watch how hippos take a birth, elephants come to drink water and crocodiles lying lazy at the shores, disembark the boat and have a hike to the top of the falls, you will have clear views of the devil’s cauldron where the water forces its self in a 7m wide gorge falling 45m down forming a thunderous roar and a rain bow flame. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight

Day 4

Murchison falls to fort portal

Depart Murchison falls and head towards Fort Portal. The drive is almost 8 hours but it will provide you with stunning views as you pass small African villages and banana plantations. The lovely town of fort portal rests in the shadow of the fabled mountains of the moon and is famous for many tea plantations. Have lunch on arrival and undertake a tour to the crater field. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Semliki national park and hot springs

After breakfast, drive towards Semliki national park. The scenic winding road will lead you through green mountains and offer you magnificent view at river Semliki and Congo. On your arrival, a ranger will accompany you on the beautiful nature walk through the Ituri forest, enjoy the peacefulness of the forest, and look out for the rich bird life at the swamp since the park has 440 bird species. Undertake a hike to Sempaya hot springs both the female and the male hot spring an interesting natural attraction carry out experiments of boiling eggs and bananas. You will have a picnic lunch. In the evening, return back to your hotel for dinner and over night

Day 6

Transfer to Kibale national park, chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp

After breakfast the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and a highest concentration of primates in east Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rain forest in search for the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkey and many others.
After lunch we transfer to Bigodi swamp for another totally different nature walk. The Bigodi swamp walk is an initiative of the local community and it approximately takes 2 hours. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. You will return for dinner and overnight

Day 7

Kibale to queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer from Kibale national park to Queen Elizabeth national park. It’s a beautiful route via kassese, with the Ruwenzori Mountains on your right side and the green valley on your left. You will reach the park and have lunch and embark on a thrilling boat cruise on the famous 40m Kazzinga channel, a natural channel with the highest concentration of hippos in the world between Lake Edward and Lake George expect to see elephants, hippos, buffaloes. This cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari

Day 8

Game drive and Maramagambo forest walk

The day begins early as we head for a rewarding morning game drive to the mating ground of the Uganda kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs as we will visit the Maramagambo Forest for a walk through the tropical forest. It is known for the Blue Lake and the Bat and Hunters Cave. You will get the chance to have a close look at the bats and maybe even the rock python and forest cobras that feed on the bats. The same walk will provide you with views of primates, different bird species and beautiful fauna

Day 9

Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

After breakfast you will go for a game drive in the Ishasha plains for tree climbing lions, you will watch them resting on fig trees and acacia, after the game drive you will leave queen Elizabeth national park and head towards Bwindi impenetrable national park. The scenic route runs through a verdant countryside while you pass traditional homesteads and plantation farms. You will have lunch en-route. Arriving in the evening relax, have dinner and an overnight

Day 10

Bwindi gorilla safari

Another highlight of your safari is meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi. Especially hikes will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. The hiking may take 2 to 8 hours, it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they play, eat and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes.

Day 11

Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, undertake a guided village walk for a closer meeting with the local community, learn about their way of living as you walk through coffee, tea and banana plantations. After you depart to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda. This area is often called the “little Switzerland of Uganda” and boosts one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Relax or go for a canoe trip while you watch the beautiful sunset.

Day 12

Lake Bunyonyi

After a challenging and strenuous hike in Bwindi, have some relaxing moments on the shores of this beautiful and peaceful lake. The options here are birding, nature walks, swimming or canoeing (not included)

Day 13

Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo national park

After breakfast drive to Lake Mburo national park which takes about 4 hours with lunch en-route. On arrival check in to the hotel and go for a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the rich bird life since the park has 320 bird species, you will also see hippos that are cooling off. You will return for dinner and overnight

Day 14

Lake Mburo national park to Kampala

After breakfast you will have a guided walking game viewing safari in the park. Lake Mburo is the only national park where you can experience a safari on foot since it doesn’t have predator animals like elephants and lions. Return to the lodge for relaxation, have lunch and embark on a drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photos, water experiment and continue with the drive to Kampala arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories, you will say goodbye to the pearl of Africa. Depending on the time of your flight departure, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home
